Take the A702 out of Edinburgh. Join the A701 at Straiton
Junction and then the A703 at Leadburn and carry straight
on towards Peebles. At the roundabout in Peebles, turn left
onto the A72. Innerleithen is 8 miles further on. Soon after
you enter Innerleithen, Hall Street is on your left, directly
opposite the turn off for Traquair, and with a red telephone
box on the corner. From Hall Street, the path at the side
of the public park will bring you to the entrance of Victoria
Park.
NOTE
You can bypass Penicuik by taking the B7026 through Auchendinny
and Howgate which will take you to Leadburn. The turn off
is just after the Gowkley Moss Roundabout, less than a mile
after Bilston. Once at Leadburn Junction, turn left to get
onto the A703. Although it might feel like a shortcut, this
route won't make much difference to your journey time, but
it's a bit more scenic.
Take the A7 out of Edinburgh, past Dalkeith and Newtongrange.
A few miles after Gorebridge and just past North Middleton,
turn right at the signpost onto the B7007. This road becomes
the B709 and will take you down past Innerleithen Golf Course
and eventually to the junction with Innerleithen High Street.
Turn right and along the High Street until you come to a church
on the left hand side. Hall Street is just after this, on
your right, with a red telephone box on the corner. From Hall
Street, the path at the side of the public park will bring
you to the entrance of Victoria Park.
NOTE
The B7007/B709 is a relatively isolated road and mobile phone
reception in the area is poor. Please exercise caution if
using this road during the winter months.
Take the A72 out of Galashiels, through Clovenfords. Turn
right at The Nest Roundabout. After going through Walkerburn,
Innerleithen is the next settlement, 2 miles on. Drive along
Innerleithen High Street until you come to a church on the
left hand side. Hall Street is just after this, on your right,
with a red telephone box on the corner. From Hall Street,
the path at the side of the public park will bring you to
the entrance of Victoria Park.
Take the A74 out of Glasgow, heading towards Edinburgh. Take
the A8 until Airdrie and the beginning of the M8. At exit
6, turn onto the A73 for 8 miles, going through Newmains.
At Carluke turn left onto A721 and continue for 6.5 miles,
through Kilcadzow and at Carstairs continue on the A70 for
2.5 miles. At Carnwath, turn right onto A721 for 10 miles,
going through Newbigging and Elstrickle, then turn left onto
the A72 for another 10 miles until you come to Peebles. Drive
through Peebles Main Street until you come to a roundabout.
Go straight ahead at the roundabout and Innerleithen is 8
miles further on. Soon after you enter Innerleithen, Hall
Street is on your left, directly opposite the turn off for
Traquair, and with a red telephone box on the corner. From
Hall Street, the path at the side of the public park will
bring you to the entrance of Victoria Park.
