Vale
of Leithen Football Club was formed in May 1891, making
them one of the oldest football clubs in the Scottish
Borders. The club became full members of the Scottish
Football Association in 1897 and play in the East of
Scotland league, the level directly below the Scottish
Football League.
Each year the club participates in the Scottish FA Cup.
